While we were in Europe, I noticed a very strange new phenomenon: I kept taking photos of flags.
I mean, what’s THAT about?
So of course I had to use them in a blog post π .
Can you guess which countries we visited, just by the flags below?!
Let’s start with an easy one:
1. Hopefully you won’t need any hints, but think croissants …
2 & 3. The country’s flag is on the left; the area is on the right (bonus point if you get the one on the right as well!)
4. Somewhere in the Mediterranean … we visited family here!
5. This country is in the EU but not yet using the Euro …
6. Hmm, another hard one π
7. Sometimes the wind just wouldn’t cooperate so I could get a good pic, but I’m sure you can work this one out anyway!
8. The only one of our flags that is not from Europe …
9. The hubster is showing that we’ve been married for 25 years. But which country does the flag behind him represent?!
10. And another bonus point if you can guess which Italian city this flag belongs to!

I Must Confess: before our trip, I probably wouldn’t have recognised the flags from Majorca, Singapore, Malta or Pisa … and maybe Croatia too.
Now it’s your turn to confess – how did you go in my little “guess the flag” competition?!

I only managed to get 5 right – France, Malta, UK, Italy and Greece. Most important buildings fly flags so they’re kind of hard to avoid in photos!

Managed to get them all except for no. 3 which surprises me because it has been a long time since I was at school looking at different flags and I thought I would have struggled.

I got the major ones right but didn’t have a clue when it came to Majorca, Malta, Singapore and Pisa. What a wonderful trip you had Janet!

Oh Janet what a clever idea – I hope you haven’t got post-holiday blues? I only got 5 π
