Hey, it’s Miss 18 – “the daughter” – here.
It’s my turn to spill the beans he he he, on what it’s like to have a mum who blogs.
What It’s Like to Have a Mum who Blogs
People sometimes ask me what my Mum does, and they think it’s pretty cool that she blogs for a job.
It was pretty freaky the time I had to go to the emergency department at the hospital, and the nurse on reception recognised my Mum from the blog and got a bed for me straight away!
I visit the blog every morning to read the latest post – and to check if Mum’s written something naughty about me! I’m kinda used to it – she’s written for magazines for years, and there is a “wee story” about me when I was 2 here on the blog, from her first book. As a rule she’s pretty good, and usually checks with me first before she posts anything – though she does have a habit of picking the WORST photos of me!
I like that she’s into social media, and we can sit companionably on the couch for hours just playing on our phones (which Dad just doesn’t get!).
If I had to pick a favourite post from her blog, I would say A Day in the Life of Misty Kitty, coz I love anything cute too 🙂 .
Miss you Mummy, hope you are having a great time in Europe and can’t wait to see you tomorrow next week!

Great you got to post about your thoughts on having a blogging Mum. I assume that you selected the image as it is really nice of you both. When I go to family history conferences I am still amazed when people recognise me and say I read your blog or follow you on social media.

Awww 🙂
So great to hear from you, as I’ve read such lovely things about you and your relationship as mum and daughter from your mum’s perspective! I reckon having a blogger for a mum would be so cool. I hope my son (now only 3 years old) will think that one day…eep haha.

I think all the photos of you, well the ones I’ve seen, look pretty gorgeous. My girls are thinking of getting tshirts made up with the slogen “I’m not bloggable”. I don’t often blog about them but I do try and get their permission and approval when I do.

Love this sneak peak behind the family of Middle Aged Mama. Hope you’ve had a great trip! (p.s. love that photo too)

Hehe, my daughter and I also share time on the couch on our social media which my husband simply does not get either!

Ha ha! My daughter thinks I pick the worst photos of her too! Secretly, I think my daughter is proud of me too.
